Second overall. After ten years, Christian Merli with his Osella FA 30 Zytek LRM, showed up at the start of the 58th edition of the time trial Svolte di Popoli, near Pescara in Abruzzo. Two heats of 7,530 kilometers a. He is clearly in the lead in practice, while he is second in both climbs of Race.
Christian recounts the Abruzzo date
"Today it went like this. I'm sorry about the posting. After practice I thought I had a couple of seconds in my pocket, but in Race 1 I slipped a lot. On the second climb I started with the knife between my teeth and had a couple of oversteps. I didn't know what to do anymore. However, we are always at the head of the tricolor and we will see at the next appointment in Sardinia". Currently, after six races, Merli leads the championship with 55 points, followed by Simone Faggioli at 50.
The evidence
On Saturday, after the 7,530 kilometers of the first passage of official tests, Merli is in the lead with Beggioli second at 3:38. In the second round of official practice, the Blue City Motorsport Team rider is always first with Faggioli at only 78 cents.
The Race
In Race 1 Faggioli broke the record and was 1st with the Trentino rider detached by 2"41. Race 2 in the afternoon and is still the leader of the Tuscan of the Norma with Merli detached at 2:06.
